the first time i found out Boney M was a project with essentially a fake singer (Bobby Farrell) that was only put there as the "image" of the group while in reality Frank Farian was the person behind most songs I was soooo disappointed but it turns out this was pretty much standard practice in the industry for a while (Corona, who made The Rhythm of the Night, used to have Olga Souza as their front woman even though the real singer was Giovanna Bersola)
